This in-state matchup is a must see game!
#17 Patriots vs #6 Generals
6:00 PM CST
460 Doster Rd, Prattville, AL
The Patriots began the Season ranked #2 and was a favorite to win the APDFL President's Cup. Along with this high ranking came a tough schedule, in fact, the #1 toughest schedule according to the APDFL. That has proven to be true! Week 1, we traveled to South Carolina to play the Nationally Ranked Ducks, and lost 8 - 12. Last week we played in-state rivals, Tuskegee Ayrmen who won multiple Championships in the XSFL, and lost 14-7. The Patriots Defense continues to play lights out, just as expected and mirrors last year's Defense that was ranked one of the best in the League. The problem for the Patriots this season is lack of production from the Offense as they have yet to score a Touchdown. Both TDs scored by the Patriots have been by the Defense. Offensive Coordinator, Travell Surles, has his work cut out for him to right the ship and produce numbers that Patriot Nation is used to seeing. The Patriots added Chanse Guyon (2016 OL Player of the Year) and Mike Graham (Top WR in the League) to their Roster this week and will give a much needed boost to this stifled Offense. A win this week would be a huge confidence boost before the Patriots travel to MS to play the #1 Mississippi Dynasty next week.
The Mobile Generals have a great roster after combining with the Prichard Falcons this offseason. They won their Home Opener 18-2 vs Louisiana Tigers, and lost a nail biter to a Championship Contender, Gulf Coast Gators 21-24 last week in Ft Walton Beach, Fl. The Generals will travel to Prattville looking to add another win to their Season and take a step forward to claiming a post season spot.
This game will be a hard hitting matchup between two of the League's best. The Patriots will have a tough and long road schedule after this game, with the next Home Game being played on April 28. So come see your Team at Home before they hit the road! As always, Go Patriots!
